Essay by Adrianne Clark
Night-time at the sanitarium.

Night-time can be treacherous during and after a war. You never know when you'll step on an innocent unharmed landmine, or get the screaming heebie jeebies at 3 am. PTSD is seriously no joke. When you're forced to constantly relive the horrors you've already been through a million times already, it gets so taxing, and extremely boring.
And if you're like me you get creative with your reactions to it just to rid yourself of the monotony. Like straight ignoring it, and trying to carry on with your daily life. Or trying to get anything else done to get your mind off it. Which sucks if there’s severe pain involved, because then you just have to grit your teeth and bear it.
One thing I find especially interesting about my gang stalkers, is that they'll yell “PTSD!!!” Over and over again at me like they know what they're talking about, or “are you retarded?!?” Over and over again, until I finally get angry about it. Cuz that is most of what they're looking for, a reaction.
And the only way healthy people won't react, is if they're psychopaths themselves… because anger is a very NORMAL reaction to getting bullied, raped and mutilated day in and day out.
One thing I truly despise about them is that they have no creativity in them when it comes to torture. It's just rape and murder and then eating the flesh of their victims. And there's no way to say it nicely, that's just boring after ten years or more.
They haven't seemed to get the hint, I haven't died yet, and probably won't. But no revenge is the best revenge of all.
